WEDDING RECEPTION PLANNING

Our Wedding Consultants are happy to offer guidance in all areas as your planning proceeds. Whether you want to follow wedding traditions or set your own, we will do all we can to exceed your expectations. The following are some of the more frequently asked questions for planning a wedding.

Wedding Cakes

There is a traditional way to serve the wedding cake. Towards or at the end of the reception, the bride should cut the wedding cake. Starting with the bottom layer, the first piece should be served to her new husband. Next, beginning with her new family, the bride should serve each wedding guest that is present in the room at the time.

The second layer, if unused, should be offered and sent home with the bride's new in-laws. The top layer is traditionally kept and frozen to be eaten on the first anniversary. We think a better idea may be to purchase a fresh, small cake to eat on this anniversary and simply use the original as a center piece!
The tradition continues... Today, Eldredge Manor hosts many of Utah's most prestigious wedding receptions. Your wedding guests will delight in the Victorian architecture, ornate woodwork and luxurious atmosphere. Outdoors they'll enjoy our exquisite gardens, enchanting waterfalls and stunning courtyard setting.
